I am a composer and visual artist who has enjoyed sharing my music and art with many people. I have a masters degree in music composition from the Eastman School of Music in NY, am a graduate of the Music for People organization, am certified in music education K-12 and am trained on the djembe, African drum, though piano is my main instrument.
I currently teach world music part-time at the Greensboro Montessori School in NC and have worked extensively in the expressive arts of music improvisation and process art painting. I'm a self-taught artist and have been painting with a passion since 1995. My paintings have been shown in area galleries on CD covers and as illustrations for children's books.
Rhythm & Art is my home studio where I teach individual lessons in composition, piano and hand drumming and occasional sessions in process art painting.
